Man dies in horror highway truck rollover

A man has died after a truck collided with a trailer and overturned, hitting a tree on the New England Hwy on Sunday.

A man has died following a traffic crash on the New England Hwy at Rosenthal Heights on Saturday.

Initial inquiries indicate a truck lost control and crashed into a tree after colliding with a trailer of another vehicle at the intersection of the New England Hwy and Pikedale Rd at 5.06pm.

A man in his 30s was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Paramedics treated a male in his 20s with minor injuries who did not require transport to hospital. A Queensland Fire Department spokesman said crews arrived shortly after the incident.

“Two crews arrived at the scene with the truck rolled onto its side,” the spokesman said.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
