Commuters in and around Brisbane have faced big delays on the Monday morning peak-hour commute after breakdowns and bingles.
An earlier breakdown in the Airport Tunnel near the Campbell St exit at Bowen Hills this morning caused havoc.
While the vehicle was moved within a couple of minutes, the incident caused traffic to bank along the tunnel from the Stafford Rd entrance, causing a six-minute delay.
Meanwhile, motorists heading into Brisbane on the Bruce Highway are facing severe delays after a multi-vehicle crash.
It is understood that two trucks were involved in a minor collision in the highway’s southbound lanes near Plantation Rd at North Lakes about 7am.
The collision closed the middle lane of the highway, causing congestion from Burpengary to North Lakes and delays up to 30 minutes towards the city.
A Queensland Ambulance spokeswoman confirmed two people were involved in the accident, neither were taken to hospital.
