Just days after four-wheel-drives plunged to an untimely demise after being stranded in ocean water at Rainbow Beach, a four-wheel drive has been caught on camera trying to get through well before low tide.
Low tide was at 4.30pm on Monday, October 7, but Rock Report Rainbow Beach showed a video of a vehicle trying to get through at 2pm with waves still coming in to shore.
In the video, the vehicle can be seen have to stop and back up as it tried to navigate rocks.
“ I just don't get these idiots. Freshwater track is only ten minutes longer and you don't damage your car,’’ Michael Klein posted.
Mick Jenkins said he couldn’t see what the issue was.
“His car he can do what he likes!
“Successful negotiating of obstacles.
“Yes it can shorten the life of a car but he chose to do it.”

Samuli Arthur predicted that in six months time, the vehicle would be listed for sale under "going in a different direction no beach work!"
Debbie Mclean feared such drivers were putting insurance premiums up for others.
On Friday videos of twin Prado four wheel drives, that became stranded in the ocean at Rainbow Beach, on Thursday surfaced.
Yellow ice trucks, servicing the campgrounds and beach at Teewah and Inskip, posted a video and pictures of the stuck cars.
“For sale … only been on the beach once,” he said on Facebook.
“Probably won’t be much of these two in the morning.
“Let’s hope that everyone is OK.”
The video was taken late Thursday afternoon. Low tide was 2.15pm.
“Please check tide times and beach conditions before you plan your journey for the long weekend,” the Ice Man said on Facebook.
“Obviously there is NO access from Rainbow to Double island.
On Friday, fresh photos were posted of the sun rising with the four wheel drives still in the water.

“We have a new attraction … twin Prados … there is no access.
“They are predicting great weather for the weekend get out and enjoy it.”
Locals were quick to jump on the bandwagon by making jokes.
“Alright so here is the question … even if you HAVEN’T checked the tide times, surely you would see the water and know you have to turn around because you can’t drive through it,” Simon Stockton said.
“I think this is a positive thing … nature taking cars off those that shouldn’t have them,” John Mugliett said.
“When will they learn, obviously never?” Pamela Legge said.
“The Rainbow Beach car wash claims more victims,” Brad Howlett said.
“Perfect example of inexperienced drivers. They must be devastated,” Sharon Lee Watts said.
“Same old … all the gear but no idea,” Ruby Doolan said.
“You can’t park there,” Emma Holden said.
This comes after footage of another four-wheel drive became stranded in a new water crossing that’s formed on Bribie Island.
Then earlier this year local police let fly at a four-wheel driver’s brash behaviour as people sat on the roof and hung onto the side of a vehicle as it sped along a popular Queensland beach.
Astonishing footage surfaced online of a Toyota LandCruiser travelling with five people hanging on outside the vehicle, as another four-wheel drive drove alongside it at Rainbow Beach on Saturday.
Wide Bay Burnett Police Acting Superintendent Paul Algie slammed the driver of the vehicle over his “stupid driving behaviour”.
A long-term Cooloola Coast local, Mr Cook said there had been an increase in this type of behaviour recently, with the latest incident following the death of a French student, who died in a horror four-wheel drive rollover near the Teewah Beach campground in November last year.
A few years ago Clayton’s Towing owner Mike Clayton warned beach goers of the dangers of four-wheel-driving when the drivers of two vehicles had a lucky escape after they both became bogged in the soft sand of Teewah Beach and had to watch as their 4WDs were engulfed by waves.
