A woman has been injured and the peak-hour commute thrown into chaos following a two-vehicle crash on the Ipswich Motorway.

A number of eastbound were closed, pushing peak-hour commute times out by as much as 50 minutes.

Emergency services were called to the crash at Goodna about 7.30.

Two vehicles collided, with the driver of one trapped for some time before being removed from the wreckage.

The driver, a woman in her 20s, was treated by paramedics for lower limb injuries and taken to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in a stable condition.

A Queensland Police Service spokeswoman said the motorway was reduced to two lanes heading eastbound.

Traffic on the Warrego and Cunningham highway was also affected.
