Bomb squad called in after explosives reportedly found at Brendale storage facility
A man has been charged after an explosive device was discovered in a storage facility north of Brisbane.

A man has been charged following the discovery of a suspicious device at Brendale.
Police from the North Brisbane CIB were called to the storage facility along Leitchs Rd, Brendale about 11am to execute a search warrant when they discovered suspicious items.
It is understood explosive devices were located at the facility.
A crime scene was declared, and the device was destroyed by police.
Police tracked down and charged a 35-year-old West End man with three counts of unlawful dealing with explosives or noxious substances.
He is due to appear in Brisbane Magistrates Court today.
Investigations are continuing.
Rebekah Smithard works across from the National Storage facility and said “police told us to move our cars and did mention explosives”.
“From what we could see a bunch of ambulances and fireys and I don’t know what there reason for being there,” Ms Smithard said.
“The whole area was blocked off. I’ve never noticed anything weird.”
