Queensland’s viral identical Twinnies have defended their so-called “annoying” speaking style that has left American TV host Jimmy Kimmel in stitches.
The Twinnies, famous for their wildlife rescue work in Landsborough in Queensland, have made global headlines for their speaking style and have appeared on the American late night show last night.
Paula and Bridgette Powers were witnesses to an alleged carjacking rampage on the Bruce Highway which left a young woman dead.
The pair spoke to media shortly after while dressed in the same bunny-covered outfits and the interview made headlines worldwide for their unique speaking style.
Kimmel said he had “lost his mind” after watching the pair.
“Get those women a TLC show,” he said.
Appearing via video link, Kimmel asked the pair how their mother was faring after Bradley Donald Towle had allegedly threatened to shoot her.
“Our mother is doing great. You know what she said she is doing fine because she has had seven kids,” they said.
“You have cause quite a commotion with this video,” he said.
While the interview is currently going viral, the Twinnies, have been local celebrities for years as wildlife rescuers, Kimmel quizzed the pair if they speak in “tandem on purpose.”
“This seems like a comedy show and I know its not but do you speak in tandem on purpose,” Kimmel said.
“No, no, no this is us and that’s how we are. We know that we annoy a lot of people out there but you know what if they can’t stand hearing us talk, how we do, then they can simply turn off the TV,” they said.
“I love it, I don’t find it annoying at all,” Kimmel replied.
Kimmel also (jokingly) accused the pair of witchcraft, as they detailed their day-to-day as wildlife rescue workers.
“I’m losing my mind right now, I got to tell you, be honest are you witches? Do you know when I’m going die,” he said.
“Because if you do, don’t tell me, I don’t want to know.”
The pair even admitted to “sharing” a phone.
“Of course you share a phone,” Kimmel in hysterics responded.
“Well Bridget and Paula I want to thank you and if you ever want to come we would love you come visit (the US) sometime, and show you our pelicans and take you around,” he said.
