There are so many people who do amazing things everyday, not for recognition or glory, but just to make our community a better place.

Do you know an amazing teacher who goes above and beyond, someone who cares for the environment, or someone who are shown tremendous courage to overcome personal adversity? Here’s your chance to recognise their contribution to society by nominating them for an NT News Pride of Australia Medal.

Now in its 11th year, the Pride of Australia 2015 nomination period launches on

Sunday, June 14 and runs until Sunday, July 19.

This community initiative aims to focus on Territorians who do extraordinary things

throughout our communities.

They are our family, friends and community members who inspire us through their

selfless actions.

The people that you choose to nominate in one of ten award categories are our

nation’s unsung heroes.

Their contribution is not widely known or recognised by the general public but

through their achievements these remarkable Australians inspire all of us to help

make our nation a better place to live.

The ten categories and criteria that the Pride of Australia Medal honours are —

Outstanding Bravery Medal: For those who have helped save, or attempted to save,
