- More than 5600 bookings for Covid-19 jab since vaccines opened up to all Territorians
More than a quarter of the Northern Territory population has had a dose of the Covid-19 vaccine to date, according to Chief Minister Michael Gunner.
Mr Gunner said there had been 65,000 doses of the vaccine administered in the NT as of Friday.
He said 26 per cent of Territorians had received a vaccine shot to date and 8.3 per cent were fully vaccinated.
“The national average is 3.2 per cent but we’ve got a lot more work to do,” he said.
Since the NT moved to allow anyone over 16 to get the jab on Monday around 10,000 bookings have been made.
The NT is expecting to get another shipment of the Pfizer vaccine from the Commonwealth in July.
It comes after Mr Gunner and chief health officer Hugh Heggie rolled up their sleeve to get their second shot of AstraZeneca on Friday.
