THE NT Electoral Commission will be correcting the two candidate preferred (TCP) counts across five seats when they re-check ballot papers on Monday.
The TCP will be changed to the correct candidates in Blain (ALP/CLP), Katherine (ALP/CLP), Fong Lim (ALP/CLP), Johnston (ALP/CLP) and Arnhem (ALP/Independent Ian Gumbula).
“The election night count is an indicative count only,” a NTEC spokesman said.
“Determining the TCP must be done before the count starts.
“The TCP is wrong in some divisions in virtually every election, all states and federal.

“In this election the introduction of a third major party made the determination of the TCP for election night more difficult.”
On election night, CLP president Ron Kelly expressed some concerns about how these corrections could shift the results.
