MICHAEL Riches has commenced his role as the NT’s second Independent Commissioner Against Corruption.

Former Commissioner Ken Fleming QC finished in the role on Monday, July 5, after announcing his retirement and move back to Queensland.

Commissioner Riches was most recently the Deputy Commissioner at the South Australian ICAC and holds an Honours Degree in Law and Legal Practice, a degree in Arts, and a Diploma in Public Safety.

He previously worked in a number of operational and corporate roles, including general duties policing, tactical teams, police communications and media liaison.
