THE Independent Member for Araluen Robyn Lambley has called for Chief Minister Michael Gunner to step down immediately following shocking new text message revelations from the MLA at the centre of the ‘cocaine sex’ scandal.
Text messages show MLA Mark Turner tried to persuade the woman at the centre of the debacle to change her story.
The NT News has had the text messages verified.
On Mix 104.9 on Friday morning, Deputy Opposition leader Gerard Maley said he found the text correspondence concerning.
“If you go through those words of what he said, he asked her to change her story and then he said ‘I’ll check’,” he said.
