PEOPLE in the Northern Territory who have recently visited a Covid-19 case location in the ACT are now required to get tested and self-isolate until they receive a negative result, following new health directions.

A statement issued by the NT government this evening says acting chief health officer Charles Pain has issued new quarantine and testing directions for the ACT, requiring anyone in the NT who has visited a potential public exposure site at the dates and times specified by ACT health authorities to self-isolate, get a Covid-19 test and remain in isolation until they receive a negative result.

The directions have been issued as a precaution after a NSW man in his 40s with low levels of the virus in his system visited several locations in the ACT on Monday, June 14.

The directions will be reviewed on Monday.
