Palmerston’s new Swimming, Wellness, Events, Leisure and Lifestyle precinct featuring Australia’s first two-storey aquatic course will open its doors on Sunday.

The Adventure Play course will be open throughout the school holidays and have participants harnessed in to navigate obstacles while being splashed with water.

City of Palmerston Mayor Athina Pascoe-Bell said the course was designed to provide a “thrilling experience within a secure environment.”

“We are confident that the combination of excitement and safety measures will make this a must-do attraction in Palmerston for years to come,” she said.

Course participants must be over 122cm tall, weigh under 136kgs, with a maximum of 15 people allowed on the equipment at a time.

Centre operator Belgravia Leisure said safety was the top priority at the play space.

“Our goal is to provide a space where the community can have fun, stay active, and create lasting memories,” state manager Dan Cullen said.

“We are dedicated to upholding the highest standards of safety in all the facilities we manage.”

While entry is free, bookings are required with 45 minute time slots available, including a 15-minute safety briefing and harnessing.
