UPDATE: Missing man Terrence Phillip Egan, 23, has been found alive by authorities, after he was last seen running into the bush 50km south of Tennant Creek on Monday.
Police found Mr Egan in scrub land during search efforts on Wednesday morning.
Mr Egan was suffering from dehydration when found and was being transported to Tennant Creek hospital for treatment.

EARLIER: NT Police have increased their search efforts for a missing man in the Tennant Creek area, last seen on Monday evening.
Terrence Phillip Egan, 23, had travelled to Darwin for trade school and was expected to return to Alice Springs on Tuesday but was last seen running into bushland next to the Stuart Hwy, 50km south of Tennant Creek.
NT Police officer, 34, to face Darwin Local Court next month
Southern Watch Commander Alastair Gaul said Police had been sent up for Mr Egan to extend the search.
“We’ve had members travel from Alice (Springs) to attend Tennant Creek this morning to assist with the search,” he said.
“They’ll also be using a helicopter this morning as well.”
Police hold concern for his welfare given he was described as “anxious” when last seen.

Mr Egan is described as being of indigenous appearance with a solid build, brown eyes, short black curly hair, a beard and moustache.
He is approximately 187 cms tall and was last seen wearing camouflage shorts and a maroon T-shirt.
