A MAN has been lucky to escape serious injury after he was thrown through the windscreen of his vehicle in a single vehicle accident.

St John Ambulance NT operations manager Craig Garraway said paramedics assisted a man who had been “ejected through the windscreen of (his) vehicle” in Humpty Doo about 8.30pm on Wednesday.

“Thankfully his injuries aren’t too serious, but potentially, when you think about going through a windscreen, it could have been a lot more serious and tragic, even a fatality at the end of the day,” he told ABC Darwin.

In a separate incident, Mr Garraway said St John’s paramedics had also assisted a woman who was involved in s single vehicle rollover near Tennant Creek about 2pm on Wednesday..
