A PROMINENT family in Tennant Creek has been showered with awards this Australia Day

SEVERAL members of the Hagan family have been awarded a Medal of the Order (OAM) of Australia for their service to the community of Tennant Creek.

Allan Hagan has been recognised for his work in agriculture and the community.

Along with Miriam Hagan, who is also receiving an OAM, Mr Hagan is the former owner and manager of Muckaty Station.

He has been a pastoral industry consultant and overland cattle drover for many years.

Mrs Hagan has also been recognised for her service to the arts.

John and Patricia Hagan have received their medals for work as the former owners and managers of Brunchilly station.

Every member of the Hagan family has supported the Isolated Children’s Parents’ Association for many years, and has also been heavily involved with various racing clubs.
