Remember during the pandemic when left-wingers and lovers of government control derided those of us critical of lockdowns and restrictions as being conspiracy theorists and “cookers”?
We just said what was plainly clear if you looked at the evidence – that masks did little to prevent the spread of Covid-19 and that the virus came from a lab in China. We were dismissed as crazy, but they obviously forgot about their own propensity to find conspiracies where there are none.
We were treated to a doozy this week. Social media proprietor, electric car salesman and spaceship enthusiast Elon Musk walked out to address Donald Trump’s inauguration parade.
He was clearly excited – jumping all over the place, speaking passionately about the importance of this presidential election and “a fork in the road of human civilisation”, thanking Americans for correcting course by electing Trump.
“Thank you for making it happen,” Musk said, before thumping his chest where his heart was and extending his hand up to the crowd in front of him.
He turned around and did the same to the seats behind him before putting his hand back on his chest.
“My heart goes out to you,” he said.
A passionate man showing passion at a political event hardly seems unusual. But, no – outraged lefties saw a Nazi salute.
Just stop for a minute to consider how insane the whole idea is.
That one of the richest men in the world would stand up at the inauguration of a man he supported – an event broadcast to the whole world – and openly perform a Nazi salute and think he would get away with it?
Honestly, these people have completely lost their minds.
Trump Derangement Syndrome is real. The whole “Trump is literally Hitler” thing didn’t work but they’re still clinging to it because they have nothing left. They are watching the cultural damage they worked so hard to cause to the US over a decade come apart before their very eyes.
DEI (diversity, equity and inclusion policy) is dead, biological realities such as there only being two genders are recognised, and net-zero is gone.
The cultural shift in the US since Trump’s election has been amazing.
Trump is leading the US out of a woke mind virus and the purveyors of that cultural decline don’t know what to do about it. To accuse Musk of a Nazi salute was a final, desperate scream for attention. Sadly for them, it’s over.
People have woken up to woke and, after a decade of keeping quiet for fear of being found offensive, have found their voice.
Just like here in Australia, where recent polling from the Institute of Public Affairs found support for Australia Day being on January 26 increased from 63 per cent last year to 69 per cent this year. Even the majority of young people want Australia Day to stay where it is.
The silent majority isn’t so silent anymore – and the vocal minority is showing us who the real crackpots are.
