Nominations for the Territory Hero Awards open up today so don’t miss out on your chance to dob in your everyday hero.
Dob in a mate who has been a Territory hero through the pandemic
Despite social isolation and worrying financial uncertainty, Territorians have been making a world of difference with simple acts of kindness during this pandemic.
We’ve seen people helping strangers by delivering free hot meals and checking in on elderly neighbours.
A Darwin cafe even went to the lengths of handing out free cups of coffee to people queuing up outside Centrelink.
It’s Territorians like these who have helped keep the Territory strong through these dark times.
It goes without saying that the NT’s tireless health, police and emergency service workers have also been going above and beyond to keep us safe through all this.
So if you have someone in mind, make sure their work doesn’t go unnoticed and nominate them.

That way this Territory Day, even though we can’t light up a cracker, we’ll still be able to make it special by recognising the contributions of everyday Territorians with the Territory Hero Awards.
You can nominate anyone for anything, no matter how big or small the deed.
