Being one of the hardest hit industries in the country by COVID-19 border closures, hotel owners across the Territory will finally get to breathe a sigh of relief after almost a year of chasing their tails.

And, the best news is that they will finally be able to have some certainty in their future, with future events like the Darwin Cup already driving hotel bookings to full capacity. It’s events like these that are the ticket to getting the NT’s hospitality industry back on track and bring tourists in droves.
Racing fans flocked from all over the country to go to last year’s Darwin Cup, saying it would be their only event in what is usually a busy season.
Punters and artists travelled to the Top End for music festivals like RainDance and Rebound, after not having been able to perform or see live music in almost a year.
The best thing about being in the Territory during the pandemic is that, because we’ve had no community transmission of COVID-19, we can hold the kinds of events that aren’t being held anywhere else in Australia or even the world.
