THERE’S nowhere else many of us would rather be than at the Darwin Cup today.
It’s a great event and a highlight of the Top End’s dry season.
As ever, we hope everyone has a blast but we encourage everyone to be safe and do the right thing.
That means, sticking to the rules, not drink driving and at least having some awareness to the fact we’re still in the midst of a global pandemic.

Long weekends like these are a perfect chance to let your hair down, as we saw on Saturday night with all the glitz and glamour of the Gala Ball.
It’s also a brilliant chance to help our struggling tourism and hospitality sectors, now that interstate Covid-19 crises have locked out a significant chunk of would-be travellers.
So get out there, have a great time and make the most of what is sure to be a clear blue sky day.
The Territory is blessed in the Dry to have fantastic weather, and it’s positively criminal to waste any of them couped up inside.
So let’s all put on our Monday best and see each other trackside.
