Travellers who have been in those nine local government areas must quarantine for two weeks at the Howard Springs or Alice Springs quarantine facility, at their own cost, upon arrival in the NT.

Greater Sydney local government areas that remain a hot spot for purposes of travel to the NT are: Blacktown, Canada Bay, Canterbury-Bankstown, Fairfield, Parramatta, Cumberland, Inner West Council, Burwood, and Strathfield.

Five locally acquired COVID-19 cases were detected in NSW in the 24 hours to 8pm.

That number includes two cases first identified on Monday — a man who presented to Mount Druitt hospital on Saturday and his wife.

Two new cases were detected in the northern beaches and one case was linked with the Berala cluster. The cases were detected in just 14,700 tests.
