A paramedic who treated a man who had been trapped under a truck in Yagoona said it’s “amazing he escaped from the scenario with minor injuries”.
“Paramedics arrived to quite a chaotic scene with a male patient trapped underneath the trailers of a fully laden truck,” Inspector Andrew Keshwan said.
“Our crews and other emergency services did an amazing job to stabilise the patient and free him from a very tricky and dangerous situation.
“It’s quite amazing he escaped from this scenario with only minor injuries. Surprisingly he was in good spirits throughout the ordeal and I’d be off to buy a lotto ticket if I were him.”
“He’s one lucky man.”
The 56-year-old was transported from a service station on Rockwood Rd, Yagoona, to hospital earlier this afternoon in a stable condition after he was pinned beneath a truck for some time.
He is being treated for abdominal and pelvic injuries at Westmead.
