Two 15-year-olds charged following violent home invasion and stabbing of teen in Marrickville

A teen is recovering in hospital after he was stabbed during a violent home invasion, with two 15-year-olds now charged over the attack.

Two teenage boys have been charged after a violent home invasion in Sydney’s inner west left a 16-year-old boy with multiple stab wounds.

Emergency services were called to a home on Frazer St, Marrickville, just before 5pm, following reports of an aggravated break and enter on April 16.

According to NSW Police, a group of around eight individuals wearing face masks forced their way into the home and assaulted the teenage occupant.

The 16-year-old victim sustained several stab wounds and was treated at the scene by paramedics before being transported to hospital for further care.

The group fled the scene before officers from Inner West Police Area Command arrived.

Police were told the eight people left prior to police arrival.

Following initial inquiries, police arrested two 15-year-old boys nearby with both being taken to Newtown Police Station where they were charged.

One of the teens faces multiple charges, including affray, being armed with intent to commit an indictable offence, custody of a knife in a public place, and participating in a criminal group.

The second teen was charged with affray and participating in a criminal group, among other offences.

Both boys were granted conditional bail and are set to appear before a children’s court on May 12.

Police have established a crime scene and are continuing to investigate the incident.

Inquiries into the identity and whereabouts of the other individuals involved remain ongoing.
