Suspected road rage incident leaves man unconscious on side of the road

A 55-year-old man was found injured on the side of the road in Sydney’s southwest. Police believe he may be the victim of a road rage incident.

Police are investigating a suspected road rage attack, after a man was found lying on a road in south west Sydney with serious head injuries.

Emergency services were called to South Terrace, Punchbowl, just before 10pm last night, after members of the public reported a man was injured on the road.

Officers arrived to find a 55-year-old man falling in and out of consciousness with significant head injuries, with his car sitting in the middle of the road nearby.

He was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to hospital in a stable condition for further treatment.

A crime scene was established, and investigations into the incident have commenced, with police believing the man may have been the victim of a road rage incident.
