Police have launched an investigation after a suspicious fire tore through two garages and a vehicle on the Queensland-New South Wales border last week.
Fire and emergency services were called to Gumnut Grove, Banora Point last Friday at 2.45pm after reports of a structure fire.
Firefighters managed to extinguish the blaze but two garages and a vehicle were completely destroyed.
Tweed/Byron Police District detectives attended the scene and established a crime scene.
Subsequent inquiries suggest several witnesses have footage of the incident which may assist investigators, a NSW Police spokesman said.
