Most owners don’t enjoy it when their cat turns its paws to ripping things up but Adele the ragdoll has mastered a very different kind of shredding.
Adele’s loving owner Rhonda Edwards discovered her feline’s affinity for skateboarding after undergoing two knee replacements, which forced Ms Edwards to use a skateboard to move around the house during her recovery.
“The cats ended up hopping on as it was in the house and not a foreign object to them,” Ms Edwards said, adding it had become Adele’s favourite toy.
“As soon as I push it towards her, she’s on by herself.
“She’s very confident on the board. It definitely helps that she taught herself.”
The ragdoll breeder, who was named Supreme Cat Breeder at the Royal Easter Show, will present at the Cat Lover’s Festival at Sydney Olympic Park on August 23-24.
