League legend Greg Inglis has married for the second time in a private ceremony in the
Hunter Valley.

The former Kangaroos superstar married former NRL staffer Alyse Caccamo, whom he met after separating from his first wife and mother of his two children, Sally Robinson.

Sally and Alyse, who now works in marketing, have become close friends and were even spotted together at the football watching Inglis when he played at the South Sydney Rabbitohs.

Only 30 guests – the couple’s closest family and friends – attended the wedding at
Peppers Pokolbin, including his young children, daughter
Quinn and son Nate. Inglis, 35, played 263 NRL games and is recognised as one of the game’s finest players.

Inglis, who now plays for his hometown of Macksville, has often credited Alyse for helping him recover from darker times at the back end of his career.

He had been treated for anxiety and depression in rehab.

In an interview for Australian Story in 2020 Inglis praised Caccamo for sticking beside him through his tough times.

“When I see the people around me that I’ve hurt along the way, it still hurts me today to see what I’ve put them through,” he said.

“My partner Alyse, she’s been through it. She’s ridden the s**t wave, she’s ridden the good wave.

“Right now I feel like we’ve got a great balance of life.”

Inglis now runs the Goanna Academy in which he presents a program to schools telling kids that they should look after their mental health and seek help when they need it.

In a recent profile for for sports website Code he said wanted to share his journey with as many people as possible. “People see me as Greg Inglis, famous footballer, 1000 friends,” he tells classrooms.

“Then there’s who I really am. I’m a Dunghutti man who grew up in Macksville, who loved football, who did this and that.

“If you strip all that famous stuff away, then I’m just a normal person like them. I have the same challenges as anyone.

“For me to tell my story in that way, I find it not only rewarding but... it’s a weird feeling that I get when I see kids listening. After the talks, they don’t ask anything about football, they ask about mental health and where they can get help.”

After retiring from South Sydney, Inglis attempted a comeback with English club Warrington but had his contract terminated early after sustaining a serious hamstring injury.
