Driver killed after car veers off road and crashes into trees in Sydney’s south
A woman has died after her car left the road and hit two trees in Sutherland on Thursday evening. Police have launched an investigation into the fatal crash.

A woman has died following a single-vehicle crash in Sydney’s south on Thursday evening.
Emergency services were called to the intersection of Jannali Ave and Sumner St in Sutherland shortly before 8pm, after reports a vehicle had left the road and crashed.
Officers arrived to find a sedan had veered off the roadway and collided with two trees, trapping the driver inside.
Paramedics treated the woman, who is believed to be in her 50s, but she died at the scene.
She is yet to be formally identified.
A crime scene has been established, and police have commenced investigations into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
