Anthony Koletti charged after alleged incident at Vaucluse - not far from where Melissa Caddick disappeared

Anthony Koletti has been charged by NSW Police with one count of common assault over the alleged incident against a 73-year-old woman at Vaucluse last week.

The partner of late-con woman Melissa Caddick has been charged over an alleged assault at a park not far from where she vanished.

Anthony Koletti was charged by NSW Police with one count of common assault over the alleged incident against a 73-year-old woman at Vaucluse last Wednesday, July 25.

Police made a public appeal for help to identify an unknown man earlier this week, posting a photo of a man in a black Under Armour t-shirt, black cap and sunnies, walking through a park in Sydney’s east.

On Wednesday night Koletti attended Waverley Police Station where officers laid charges over the incident. Koletti is due to face court on September 5, 2025.

In a statement, a NSW Police spokesperson said “a 73-year woman reported to police that she had been assaulted by a man about 5pm... in Lighthouse Reserve at Vaucluse”.

“The woman did not require medical treatment.”

Koletti became a regular in the headlines in the wake of his partner Melissa Caddick’s disappearance in 2020, at a time when she was wanted by ASIC for stealing $30 million of dollars in her investors money.

There was never an accusation of wrongdoing against Koletti over the missing money.

Caddick was last seen walking out of the Dover Heights mansion they shared on November 12, 2020.

Four months later a shoe containing Caddick’s foot washed up on a beach on the NSW south coast, many hundred kilometres from where she went missing.

In 2023, a coroner found at an inquest into her death that Caddick was deceased, but was unable to rule how she died.

Caddick was a Sydney-based financial planner who grew up in the quiet suburb of Lugarno and attended local schools, including Lugarno Public and Peakhurst High.

Known later for her polished appearance and affluent lifestyle, she vanished on November 12, 2020, a day after ASIC raided her home for frauding $30m out of investors.

She also managed to hoodwink friends and family into investing their life savings in return for spectacular returns carefully crafted on bogus statements.
