PARENTS forked out more than $9000 for their children to attend the NT’s most prestigious school, revealed a new analysis which found the Territory’s most expensive schools.
An analysis of financial data from almost 10,000 schools listed on the federal government’s MySchool website found the schools costing parents the most for their children to attend.
The Essington International School Darwin cost parents an average of $9572 in 2017, Northern Territory’s highest average fees, charges and contributions.
TOP 50 most expensive schools in the NT
The figures includes how much the school has made from school fees, other charges to students as well as any donations or further payments.
The second highest parental contributions were at Yirara College where parents forked out an average of $8907 for their kid’s education in 2017.
Parents of students at St Philip’s College paid an average of $8146 in 2017, Northern Territory’s third highest average parental contributions.
