Police were provided with the photo on Wednesday.

Under the Chief Health Officer Direction 55, those staying at the facility are required to physically distance and wear a mask when they’re not in their allocated rooms.

NT Police Incident Controller, Acting Commander Shaun Gill said it was disappointing that they had to remind the men that the country was still in a health emergency.

“Almost everyone in the centre is abiding by the rules, and we haven’t had any new cases in the domestic quarantine area for several months, but the actions of a few inconsiderate people who think they are above the rules could ruin it for everyone,” he said.

The infringement penalty for failing to abide by the Chief Health Officer Directions issued under section 56 of the Public and Environment Health Act 2011 is $5,056 for an individual and $25,280 for a business.
