VIDEO has emerged of a naked man jumping on top of a taxi before heading for a ride.
Police say the incident, which occurred on July 28 in Alice Springs, resulted in a woman being taken to hospital.
An NT Police spokesman said the man and woman knew each other and were standing at a taxi rank on Bath St at about 2.30pm when a “verbal argument” broke out.
The 30-year-old man then allegedly took all his clothes off and caused “significant damage” to the taxi before another man began yelling at him and the naked man chased the other man into a breezeway.
Police arrived and arrested the naked man while paramedics took the woman to hospital for treatment.
The man was remanded in custody after being charged with assault and behaving in a an indecent manner.
He is due to appear in court on September 8, 2022.
No one else was injured but investigations remain ongoing with witnesses urged to call police on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
