A two-year-old boy has tested positive to COVID-19 after recently arriving from India, bringing the NT’s total active case tally to 49.

A two-year-old boy has tested positive to COVID-19 after recently arriving from India, bringing the NT’s total active case tally to 49.
The boy arrived on the repatriation flight from New Delhi on April 17 and tested positive for COVID-19 in quarantine during the past 24 hours.
The child is asymptomatic and in the care of the AUSMAT team at the NT Centre for National Resilience.
It comes after 10 new COVID-19 cases were recorded in the Northern Territory quarantine on Saturday, including two US Marines.
Since repatriation flights to the Northern Territory began on October 23 last year 6668 international arrivals have undertaken quarantine at the Howard Springs Centre for National Resilience.
A total of 118 positive COVID-19 cases have been reported from international repatriation.
The total number of cases diagnosed in the Northern Territory is 161.
All cases have been related to international or interstate travel, with no cases of community transmission.
