Two women who were injured during an airboat crash at a popular Top End tourist attraction are out of hospital five days after the incident.

The incident happened at the Top End Safari owned by controversial Outback Wrangler star Matt Wright last Wednesday.

The women aged 43 and 45 were flown to Royal Darwin Hospital via Careflight shortly after the crash, with one suffering head injuries, while the other injured her leg.

NT Health has since confirmed both women have been discharged from RDH as of Monday.

There were 12 passengers on-board the boat when the incident occurred.

The tourist park offers airboat tours on the Finniss River from the camp near Bynoe, where the crash occurred, about an hour and half from Darwin.

The latest incident comes 15 months after Mr Wright’s fellow Outback Wrangler star Chris ‘Willow’ Wilson died in a helicopter crash while collecting crocodile eggs.

He has been charged with attempting to pervert the course of justice, destroying and fabricating evidence, unlawful entry to a building and a dwelling, making a false declaration and issuing threats in relation to a criminal investigation.

Mr Wright has indicated that he will defend the charges.
