POLICE are investigating after thieves allegedly ransacked a property and stole a vehicle in the suburbs of Alice Spring overnight.
Southern Watch Commander Adrian Kidney said police were called to intruder breaking in to a residence in Larapinta about midnight on Saturday.
He said the offenders opened window louvres and entered the home through a back door.
“They ended up stealing a bag and set of car keys,” Cdr Kidney said.

“They took a Gold Honda Accord but we later located it a short distance away.
“It was abandoned around the corner so they didn’t get very far with it.”
Cdr Kidney said no offenders have identified or charged at this stage.
