Territory Hero Awards: Matt lends a hand with mental health support during pandemic

TALKS across the car bonnet was one of many ways Matt Hull ensured mental health services were still available on construction sites during the coronavirus pandemic.

Mr Hull, who is the NT field officer and case manager for mental health organisation MATES, worked tirelessly to provide workers in construction and other industries access to face-to-face services.

“We knew that the risk of pulling back completely could see those people who really benefit from seeing someone slide into positions that are not so healthy,” he said.

For his efforts, Mr Hull was nominated for Outstanding Contribution by an Individual in the Territory Hero Awards.
