THE Territory has found its new cheekiest baby, with Alan ‘Junior’ Hewitt-Ockerby picking up the NT News reader’s votes.
Proud mum Amelia Haley said his cutest outfit was a traditional lap lap that he loved to wear to show his Indigenous heritage to the world.
“We’re Aboriginal so a lap lap is what they used to wear back in the day,” she said.
“My aunty put one together for him, it’s just from this material that sticks together.
“It’s unique because it’s traditional and for the photo shoot I wanted him to know his culture. We took him back to country and got that photo shoot taken, it’s a very special photo.”
Aside from his costume, Ms Haley said her boy already had a cheeky personality coming through.
