The NT government has introduced the Territory Economic Reconstruction Bill into parliament, promising it will help fast-track approval times for businesses.
The bill will amend over half a dozen laws from road transport to liquor to parks and wildlife, to ensure applications and registrations are faster and more flexibility for some licences.

It is the first of two bills expected in response to the findings of the Territory Economic Reconstruction report, and will be debated in parliament next month.
Among changes will be to ensure new food business applications are approved within 30 days.
“Because the Territory has remained the safest place in the country during the coronavirus, we have the best shot at leading the national comeback – and we are capitalising on this opportunity,” Attorney-General Selena Uibo said.
“This legislation will fast-track approval times, and make business easier for Territorians,” Ms Uibo said.
“It will also open the door to new investment opportunities for the private sector, which will help grow our economy,” she said.
