TERRITORY Day events have been delayed as the NT grapples with a Covid-19 outbreak.

All public Territory Day events will not go ahead on Thursday July 1.

Last year the use of private fireworks was banned due to Covid-19 safety reasons.

Chief Minister Michael Gunner said fireworks, both public displays and private use, will be delayed until the situation is under control.
