FLEDGLING political outfit Territory Alliance will look to expel lone MLA Robyn Lambley, with the executive slamming her behaviour as “detrimental” to the party.

In a scathing letter, seen by the NT News, sent to Araluen MLA Ms Lambley on Wednesday morning, Territory Alliance secretary Danial Kelly criticised her behaviour during and after the election as “inconsistent with the culture and constitution” of the party.

Ms Lambley on Tuesday flagged leaving the party as an option and has openly said as the lone Territory Alliance MLA she feels free to do what she wants.

The NT News understands this is what spurred the party executive to move to push her out of the tent completely.

“From the beginning you said you joined Territory Alliance because of Terry Mills, rather than the values of the party,” Dr Kelly wrote in the letter.

“Sadly, your behaviour has repeatedly demonstrated that original approach and until now you have not demonstrated any effort to align with the culture and constitution of Territory Alliance.”

The Araluen MLA’s fate will be decided at a party meeting on Sunday night, with the MLA to be afforded a “reasonable opportunity” to fight her case if she chooses to.

Ms Lambley told the NT News she was yet to receive the letter.

Territory Alliance, the NT’s newest political outfit, went into the recent election framing itself as major opposition and ran in almost all 25 seats.

Ms Lambley was the only sitting Territory Alliance MLA, out of three, to survive the election.
