Stuart Highway reopened following outback crash near Elliot

THE Stuart Highway has been opened after it was closed in both directions following a crash in the outback.

A crash has occurred near the outback town of Elliot, NT.

THE Stuart Highway has been opened after it was closed in both directions following a crash in the outback.

The road was closed due to a crash about 30km south of Elliott, a small town approximately halfway between Alice Springs and Darwin.

Police have reported that the road is now clear and there were no major injuries.

Police had asked motorists to take care when driving in the area.
