A 15-year-old girl has been arrested and charged after an alleged robbery saw an Alice Springs woman taken to hospital.

NT Police said Strike Force Viper had arrested the girl, who is charged with aggravated robbery, following an incident early Wednesday morning.

She appeared before the court on Friday.

NT Police said the victim was walking between a carpark on Harley St and the post office at 6am on Wednesday when she was allegedly approached by three female youths.

Police said the girls allegedly assaulted the victim before allegedly stealing items, including a black backpack and Airpods.

The woman contacted police and was taken to Alice Springs Hospital for observation.

The two other female youths, aged 13 and 16, have been identified by police and are subject to the Youth Justice Act 2005.

Police thanked the member of the public that retrieved the victims belongings and handed them in to police.

Stolen MacDonnell Shire council cars run amok in Alice Springs CBD

Ford Rangers stolen from the MacDonnell Shire Council have been recovered around Alice Springs after they were seen being driven dangerously throughout the CBD.

A police spokesman said the two Ford Rangers were reported stolen from the MacDonnell Shire Council between 1am and 2am on Thursday, following a break-in at the premises.

Police said CCTV footage showed the vehicles driving dangerously in the Alice Springs CBD about 4am, including on lawns adjacent to the Alice Springs Local Court.

The abandoned vehicles have since been recovered by police around the Alice Springs CBD.

Man knocked from wheelchair in Alice Springs robbery

An elderly man was knocked from his wheelchair and robbed in his Alice Springs home on Tuesday night.

NT Police said at 6pm on Tuesday, a 76-year-old man was robbed at his home on Aneura Pl, Sadadeen.

Police say the man answered his door and an unknown female entered, knocking him out of his wheelchair.

The man was not injured but police said the woman stole several small items before fleeing the scene.

Police are asking for anyone who witnessed the incident, or who has any information, to call police on 131 444, and quote reference number 10281127.

More than 100 standard drinks seized during RBT

A 48-year-old man has been issued a Notice to Appear for allegedly possessing a quantity of alcohol equivalent to 125 standard drinks in a General Restricted Area.

NT police said the man was stopped for a random breath test along Kintore Road, in the Central Desert Region, on Friday.

He tested negative for alcohol, before police allegedly found the alcohol and seized his vehicle.

He will appear in a MacDonnell Region community Local Court on April 28, 2023.

Police said anyone with information on the supply of alcohol to communities is urged to contact police on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
