Steeline GRP is one of several Territory businesses heading to Energy Exchange Australia

(EXA), to connect, collaborate, and engage with some of the world’s biggest energy operators.

EXA, previously known as AOG, is Australia’s leading oil, gas and energy and service supply

event which is held annually in Perth.

The event provides an important platform for Territory businesses to showcase their services and products and have meaningful engagement opportunities with major operators and contractors.

Steeline GRP Advanced Manufacturing provides specialised services and support to Northern Territory industries - in particular the oil, gas, and energy sector.

Boasting many of the world best manufacturing machines, Steeline GRP has invested in Australia’s longest-reach robot welder, largest aluminium router and a state-of-the-art beamline for metal processing and manufacturing.

Steeline GRP’s advanced capabilities reduce production times, address skill shortages and strengthen manufacturing infrastructure, enabling businesses in the Territory to compete effectively nationally and internationally.

Coping Robot (Metaltek XB1200) advanced steel structure processing for beams, columns, and other components to support infrastructure projects.

Mike Apathy, Steeline GRP manager for Special Projects, has attended EXA numerous times over the past 24 years.

“EXA is a pivotal event for building relationships, gaining national and international exposure and showcasing the Territory’s manufacturing and advanced manufacturing capabilities,” he said.

“The conference provides insights into upcoming projects and gives Territory businesses an opportunity to build relationships with energy providers and their incumbent suppliers and service providers.

“Attending energy producing conferences is about foresight and preparation. It ensures the

Territory’s capabilities are visible and well positioned and it enables companies like Steeline

GRP to become trusted partners in major projects.

“Early nurturing of relationships at EXA, leads to lasting partnerships and greater utilisation

of local content which is key to Steeline GRP’s drive for economic growth and reinvestment

in the NT.”

The Northern Territory Government will lead a business delegation to EXA in Perth from 11-13 March.

The NT delegation will participate in the Northern Territory Government exhibition stand and attend industry briefings and networking events.

There will be opportunities for Territory businesses to showcase their products and services

to the domestic and international energy supply chain.

Businesses can submit an expression of interest at https://forms.office.com/r/e3KWn8Npif

EOIs close on Friday 31 January 2025.
