POLICE were forced to deploy road spikes in pursuit of a teenage girl behind the wheel of her uncle’s vehicle in Alice Springs overnight.
The ordeal first unfolded at around 3am in the CBD, when officers were made aware of a silver Holden Commodore allegedly doing burnouts near a licenced venue.

NT Police said a brief pursuit unfolded and officers were forced to deploy road spikes just outside of Alice Springs.
A 14-year-old girl, who was purportedly driving her uncle’s vehicle, was found to have no criminal history and was put into diversion.
The vehicle was seized by NT Police.
Another car involved in separate reports of hooning around Alice Springs evaded police overnight.
