Search continues for missing Humpty Doo teenager

A RENEWED search for missing teen Seth Puckridge has been organised 120 days after his disappearance.

A massive co-ordinated land and air search in April failed to find the missing teenager, but loved ones have not given up hope with a renewed search to be held this Saturday.

Searching for Seth Puckridge organisers said on July 30 volunteers would search through areas previously covered by teams.

Volunteers were advised to bring a hat and good shoes, with the work to begin at 8.30am.

They said the search would concentrate “in and out from 105 Ridley Rd”.

“If you can’t attend that is fine. We ask you keep a look out when you go camping, on holidays, fishing, hunting near and far,” Naomi Blewit wrote on the Facebook group.

“If you think you see Seth please be discrete, take a photo and notify the police.”

Mr Puckridge was officially added to the National Missing Persons poster this month.

In April, NT Police called off the search for the missing 18-year-old following a week-long air and land operation through dense and swampy bushland in the Herbert area.

Detective Senior Sergeant Paul Morrissey at the time said they had found no sign of the teen, but assured his loved ones that “investigations are ongoing and we are determined to locate Mr Puckridge”.

Mr Puckridge was last seen by his mother around 9.30pm Thursday March 31.

He went missing from his Herbert home in the early hours of April 1.

He mysteriously left behind his bike, phone, identification, wallet and keys before disappearing without a trace.

Sgt Morrissey said Mr Puckridge left behind notes and online messages indicating he left of his own volition, but the messages caused serious concerns for his welfare.

Anyone with information which may assist in locating the whereabouts of Seth is urged to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
