POLICE have identified a “vehicle of interest” in the search for missing man Patrick “Paddy” Moriarty.

Mr Moriarty has been missing from his home in Larrimah, about 500km south of Darwin, for more than two weeks.

A police spokesman said details of the vehicle would be released today.

The spokesman said police believed the driver may have seen Mr Moriarty before he went missing.

Police and Emergency Services travelled to Larrimah, a town of just 10 people, to search for the 70-year-old and have several new leads, including the vehicle of interest, the spokesman said.

On Saturday, detectives put a call out for passengers in a Greyhound bus travelling south on December 16 at dusk to get in contact.

“Police have spoken to the driver … and are urging passengers of the bus to come forward,” the spokesman said.

Police are asking anyone with information to call them on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
