RECORDS have fallen with the opening of the global fashion icon Tommy Bahama store in Darwin.

The Smith Street Mall store has outdone all 15 of Australia’s Tommy Bahama stores for an opening week.

Tommy Bahama is a leading seller of island lifestyles and maker of trendy lifestyle clothing and accessories.

The clothing is inspired by the relaxed sophistication of coastal living and the range includes casual, men’s and women’s sportswear and activewear, denim, swimwear and accessories.

Store Manager Tina Stanley said Darwin’s response to the store has been nothing short of sensational.

“We had locals and tourists loving the fashion,” Tina said.

“The range will be an endless summer of cotton, linen, silk, well- made long-lasting clothing.

”We have had so many couples come here. The teenagers are also loving the range.

“Every week we will get new deliveries so we are constantly updating our stock.”
