A UTE has crashed its way through the doors of the City of Palmerston council building in a freak accident.

NT Police Senior Sergeant Siiri Tennosaar said a 55-year-old man lost control of his car and crashed into the building on the corner of Chung Wah Terrace and University Avenue about 9am.

“Police, fire and St John Ambulance attended,” she said.

“The driver did not require any treatment. The vehicle has since been removed.

“The incident serves as a timely reminder to motorists to take care on wet roads and to drive to the conditions.”
