Woman arrested over stabbing as police swarm popular Bundilla Beach
Police have cordoned off parts of a beach north of Darwin’s CBD and arrested a women in relation to a stabbing which left a man in a critical condition.

POLICE on Wednesday scoured through a popular beach north of Darwin’s CBD, after a domestic violence stabbing earlier this week.
A 38-year-old woman was arrested on Wednesday in relation to the “edged weapon” assault on Monday, which left her partner in a critical condition at the Royal Darwin Hospital.
A large area of parkland was cordoned off at Bundilla Beach as investigators scoured the area in relation to the case.
A group of investigators were seen inspecting spots beneath a tree and then at the edge of the lagoon.
Later on Wednesday NT Police released a statement saying a crime scene was being processed in relation to the serious assault of a man in Darwin’s CBD earlier this week.
A 38-year-old woman was taken into custody on Wednesday and could be charged as early as this evening.
On Wednesday morning, reports emerged of a “large police presence” in the area when a caller told Mix Radio’s Katie Woolf of a significant police activity in the area.
When contacted for comment, a PFES spokeswoman initially did not provide any specifics of the operation.
The spokeswoman said the police presence in the area was part of an “ongoing investigation into an existing case”.
