A WOMAN is in hospital with serious injuries following an alleged disturbance with about five people.

Northern Watch Commander Andrew Heath said about 2am a police patrol found the woman at Temple Tce near the bus exchange.

“She was taken to hospital by St Johns ambulance with a multitude of injuries,” he said.

“We reviewed the CCTV in the area and found about five people involved in a disturbance, so we located a crime scene and forensics were called out to process the scene and as a result the matters been referred to the Serious Crime Unit.”

He said detectives continued investigating, at this stage did not know who the five people were in the disturbance.

“The matter will be processed throughout the day,” he said.
